No complaints

Tere bina zindagi se koyi, shikwa, toh nahi Without you, i have no complaints With life. Does it mean you are the only complaint in my life? Or does it mean that my only complaint in my life is that you are not with me. I think this is ambiguous and open to interpretation. Or does it mean, I dont have any complaints that you are not with me, but then life is not life without you.

Coffee and Iron

 You feel so tired and exhausted. The only way your brain could function is with coffee. Drink some, drink some more and more.  You are tired you drink coffee. You drink coffee you stay awake late night. Or you wake up all alert at 3 am. So sharp that extreme Suduko is complete in minutes and then you get up sleep deprived. You drink coffee to function.  Doesnt help. Doesnt help at all when you are Iron defecient. You pop in Ferrous Sulphate as advised by Doctor. Iron upsets your tummy. Was the Ferrous to make you not tired or to make you tired. More Ferrous I take, more upset my tummy gets. More tired I get. Is it helping? To this deadly mix add coffee. Lifes all merry all around. Coffee to help you, where Ferrous fails. Coffee to help you all day long. Coffee to keep you going. Too tired, too tired. Oh my mind is so alert at 3am. Alert enough to solve all worlds problems. But making me tired all day long.

Chokher Bali

 I havent read Rabindranath Tagore's Chokher Bali. But have seen various versions of the story in hindi over the years. When I first saw the show, I interpreted it as Ashalata and Binodini as complementary pieces of jewellery like a necklace and earrings set. They are very different but they go together as a whole and complement each other just like a necklace and earring. Not sure if this was the intended meaning or a misintepretations. Apparently, Chokher Bali in Bengali means grain of sand in the eye. That beloved Binodini is a grain of sand in the eye for Ashalata.  They are not one of a whole, they are not individual pieces of jewellery that not only complements but goes together. Was I reading too much into this? For me Binodini and Ashalata are matching jewelry pieces.
